Chicago LYS Nina opened in 2004. Nina, the original owner, had a vision of an inviting and contemporary space, and she filled it with beautiful textures, colors and lots of inspiration. After nearly 13 years, the shop transitioned into the hands of Hilary, a longtime employee and lover of all things crafty. Great yarn from Movers & Makers and others, sewing patterns, embroidery and more.

DyakCraft also sells cloth cases for interchangeable sets. “We use our hands to craft the tools destined to be held in your hands. We design all our tools to be beautiful to the eye and comfortable in the hand,” the site says. Spectacularly beautiful needles and hooks, with cool coated wire cables. Equally lovely spindles.
